The Camp/o/matic 12v system is designed for simple use. The duel 70amp deep cycle maintenance free batteries are located out of the way, under the bed behind the wheel arches. They are capable of being charged by four methods:   

Through our intensive testing over the past 17 years we have found that the largest power drain on the batteries is fridges. We have supplied sufficient battery capacity to keep our recommended fridges operating for 2-3 days without charging, in some conditions the batteries have lasted 10days. These tests have been conducted in northern Australia in varying climate conditions.

Your Camp/o/matic is fitted with a volt meter that lets you see quickly the state of charge on the battery. This can be done through the rear door if the camper is closed. From the volt gauge you know whether you need to charge your batteries. The great thing about these charging methods is that they are easy to do

We have fitted a water tank gauge next to the 12v gauge for easy viewing. This gauge uses its own battery and indicates the tank level in ¼, ½ , ¾, Full increments.

The 12v system uses mainly 4mm wiring for all 12v sockets which is rated to 30amps. These sockets are for lighting or other small accessories. If a socket is going to be used for a fridge we ask that we are notified at the time of purchase and we can change the wire to 6mm, to eliminate low voltage problems.

The interior lighting fitted is very bright; the reading lights are flexible and easily positioned over your shoulder to read at night. The bed end lights give sufficient light for the size of the camper.

The exterior light is over the kitchen and is a L.E.D. This light does not attract insects and is a great night light as it draws very little power.

The deep cycle batteries we use are Exide Deep Cycle. These batteries have been selected due to there perfect characteristics for our application. These batteries also come with a nationwide warranty.

Built strong to withstand the pounding and vibration of marine, 4WD or heavy vehicle, use Exide's Endurange Deep Cycle battery. It's developed for long-running power and low amperage drain.
